My latest time lapse video. I really enjoyed shooting and editing my last time lapse video so of course I took up the opportunity when Karla, the producer of Six Feet Deep, invited me to shoot a time lapse of their film.

Although I’m happy with the feel of the last time lapse, I wanted it to be a little more fun and less reserved. Choosing the song took up most of post-production. I decided to go with the unconventional Tune-Yards song “Gangsta” because I wanted to experiment with the editing and the overall look/feel of the video.

I’m happy with it. I feel like the repeats take you out of the video but it was the best I could do with the amount of videos I shot. Nevertheless, I had fun editing it.

“Six Feet Deep” is about Vince’s journey to find the killer of his African American friend by infiltrating a skinhead gang, thus the Nazi signs in the video.

“Love is No News” Production Time Lapse

I was really excited to finally put my GoPro to use while script supervising on location for “Love is No News.” We battled cold winds and obnoxiously loud cars at that intersection but we got what we needed. Nevertheless, I was happy being back on set.

I only wish I had the proper equipment and mounts to shoot more quality time lapses so I don’t have to prop it up on a newspaper box (You can see the corner on one of the time lapse sequences). But I definitely will be shooting more with my GoPro. I’m hoping I can connect with some buskers so I can attach the camera to their head during their stunts. Might be a long shot though.

Check out the song artist, Shepherd. He will be featured as a character and the composer in the film. He’s a nice guy and I’m a big fan of the song.
